Removing the rope

God knows the difference between our wants & needs... Trust God. Click To Tweet

Earlier today my nephew Logan decided that he wanted to take a jump rope and wrap it around his neck, I’m not sure what made him wrap the rope around his neck in fact even when I questioned him on his actions his response was because ” It was his rope”  I instantly saw how dangerous it was for a child to even have a jump rope at such a young let alone play with it unsupervised, that I urgently went to rescue him from potentially harming himself.  Logan wasn’t a very happy camper about this decision.  He decided to have a temper tantrum kicking and screaming demanding the rope back. It reminded me of how sometimes God will close doors on situations, take us away from dangerous relationship, friendships. How sometimes he yank us from life threatening situations and set us in the ” green pastures { Psalms 23}” while our flesh kicks and screams for things that God purged us from. God gives us confirmation that he isn’t taking us away from dangerous situations because he doesn’t want for us to have fun, just  like how Logan thought it was “fun” to play with this rope. How sometimes we think its “fun” to play with fire not expecting to be burnt from the fire but,  God cares so much about us that he wouldn’t be the GREAT I AM THAT I AM  if he allowed  us to sit and play with death.

God’s infinite wisdom surpasses our little understanding on things,  sometimes we tend to think that God doesn’t want for us to do anything we; can’t have certain friends, entertain certain thoughts but God knows how certain situations may potentially hinder our walk with him. How it may potentially break you so he sends help too help you remove the rope that has been bounded  to your neck. In Proverbs 3:5 it says

Not to lean on our own understanding, never trust on our judgement on things

God view this situation as life threatening something that may stagger your walk with God for its depths within God that many of us haven’t reached yet so he reaches down from heaven loosening  and unwrapping the layers of bondage the enemy tried to shackle you with. God view this rope as something that may possibly take your attention away from seeking God wholeheartedly God must act urgently because your life is depending on it. As the enemy tries to whisper things into your ear telling you to tighten the rope of bondage tighter,  God is sending reinforcement to make sure that, that rope of slavery is no longer visible Walk Into Freedom.

Gods way of doing things may feel like you’re losing instead of winning; it may feel like your giving up more than what you bargained for but, the beautiful thing about God is that Yes, we give everything just to be next to God but, our reward in heaven will make everything  worth it. His way of doing things may come at a cost, just  like how Logan felt like I was taking away something he so desperately wanted unlike Logan, God knows the difference between our wants and needs. REMOVE THE ROPE!!!!!!

Allow God to remove the rope from your neck, continue to trust in him. Even when you don’t understand whats going on for we know that all things will come together for those who love God and who are called according to his purpose. Continue chasing after God.

Much Love,

Aundra Williams

God is using u n logan to warn me of the consequences of sin n remind me of how we need to be vigilant of it sneaking into our daily habits and intolerant of its presence in our lives. Love you much. Glad he was only playing with ropes not drowning his hopes after buying the illusion of Gods abandonment

Wow! such words that strike a deep chord to the soul. It’s definitely through that we will have to give up many things, some may ‘seem’ irresistibly sweet and good for our human nature(flesh), but I’m coming to terms with that fact.
“we give everything just to be next to God but, our reward in heaven will make everything  worth it.” This calls for us to store our treasures in heaven, so our hearts are in heaven were they should be. No competition on earth, no pettiness because of social media, no chasing worldly trends… 🙂
As apostle Paul said, “If our hope in Christ is good for this life only and no more, then we deserve more pity than anyone else in all the world” 1Cor 15:19
Thanks Aundra for being a vessel for noble use.
    Blessings
